Falling for The Cowgirl (Colorado Cowboys, #4) by Jody Hedlund

Jody Hedlund has done it again. I am constantly amazed that she can write fantastic stories in so many genres. Falling For The Cowgirl is a fantastic story with well-developed characters. I really enjoyed visiting with all the members of the McQuaid family. Ivy McQuaid as the youngest, and only girl, tried to keep up with her older brothers. Jericho Bliss has vowed to just be her friend. I loved watching them together. I highly recommend anything by Jody Hedlund.

So grab your favorite beverage and settle into your most comfortable reading spot for a delightful story.

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

From Amazon:

Years ago, he shattered her heart. Now she must trust him with her life.

As the only girl in her family, and with four older brothers, Ivy McQuaid can rope and ride with the roughest of ranchers. She's ready to have what she's always longed for--a home of her own. She's set her heart on a parcel of land south of Fairplay and is saving for it with her winnings from the cowhand competitions she sneaks into--but her dream is put in jeopardy when the man she once loved reappears in her life.

After two years away, Jericho Bliss is back in South Park as an undercover Pinkerton agent searching for a war criminal. He has no intention of involving a woman in the dangerous life he leads, but one look at Ivy is all it takes for him to question the path he's set out for himself.

Even though Jericho tries to resist his longtime attraction to the beautiful and vivacious Ivy, he finds himself falling hard and fast for her. In the process, his worst fear comes true--he puts her smack-dab in the middle of danger. With Ivy's life in balance, will Jericho give her up once again, or will he find a way back to her, this time forever?

To Win A Prince by Toni Shiloh

To Win A Prince is Toni Shiloh's newest book. It is the sequel to The fabulous In Search Of A Prince. This is the story of Queen Brielle's best friend Iris who moved to  Ọlọrọ Ilé, a small Island nation off the coast of Africa. Iris started up a fashion company to help the impoverished women of  Ọlọrọ Ilé support themselves. I loved learning about African customs and the setting was great. The plot was fast-moving and very engaging. Iris and Ekon were enemies to friends and I loved how Ms. Shilo wove their stories together. My favorite part was how the characters grew into their faith. I also enjoyed the banter between Iris and Ekon. It was a bonus to visit with  Queen Bri and her husband, to catch up with their lives.

So make a pitcher of iced tea to drink while you read To Win A Prince!

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

From Amazon:

"Shiloh has penned yet another adorable and charming royal romance!"--MELISSA FERGUSON, bestselling author of Meet Me in the Margins

Can she stop herself from falling before she's too far gone?

As a fashion aficionado and best friend of the queen of the African island country Ọlọrọ Ilé, Iris Blakely dreams of using her talent to start a sustainable clothing line to help citizens in impoverished areas and honor the country's resources. But when she discovers that Ekon Diallo--the man who betrayed her best friend--will be her business consultant, the battle between her desires and reality begins.

Ekon Diallo has lost everything: his princely title, his material possessions, his friends, and the respect of his fellow Ọlọrans. To pay for his actions against Ọlọrọ Ilé, he's forced to assist the charismatic Iris Blakely--but he can't allow his heart to distract him from regaining his status.

Though they come from vastly different worlds, Iris and Ekon are both determined to reach their goals, and the only way to do that is to work together--if they can just keep their hearts from getting in the way . . .

One Final Breath (Dive Team Investigations #3)

While I loved all of the Dive Team members I believe that Anissa and Gabe are my favorite couple. I loved the witty banter and the deep discussions. I loved how they learned to accept each other's pasts with grace. Most of all I love their devotion to God. As a side note, I believe Sam is my all-time favorite character. Although she had a bit piece she is a giant in my book! I really hope that Sam returns in future books. I would really love to know her backstory!

So pour up a sweet tea and curl up for an edge-of-your-seat adventure with One Final Breath!

I borrowed a copy of this book from the library. All thoughts are my own.

From Amazon:

When investigator Gabriel Chavez had his cover blown by an aggressive reporter, the silver lining was being able to rejoin the dive team. The downside? Dive team captain Anissa Bell - a woman who both fascinates and frustrates him.

Anissa grew up as a missionary kid on the Micronesian island of Yap and always planned to return after college. But she remained stateside, determined to solve the case that haunts her - the murder of her best friend and the disappearance of a three-year-old child. When Anissa's fractured past collides with Gabe's investigation into the tragic shooting death of a teenage boy in Lake Porter, they'll have to put their complicated history with each other aside in order to uncover the identity of a killer. What they'll discover is that revenge has no statute of limitations.

Award-winning author Lynn H. Blackburn closes out her nail-biting Dive Team Investigations series with a story that will have you wondering how long you can hold your breath.
