I can always count on Lauraine Snelling to write a wonderful wholesome story with strong female characters. Fields Of Bounty is book number 3 in her Leah's garden series. It follows 4 sisters as they make a life for themselves in a male dominated west. I really enjoy reading about their day to day lives and how the Nielsen sisters rapidly become leading citizens in their town, bringing inventions and organizing activities. This is a great book to read on a peaceful weekend.
So brew up a pot of tea and settle in for an enjoyable trip to the frontier.
