Sarah, the youngest sister in Hallee Bridgman's Jewels trilogy, is a spoiled young woman. A nurse in the OB ward of a large Boston Hospital, Sarah is happy. she cannot remember her abusive life before age 9. her sisters were not so fortunate.<br>Derrick, a product of the streets of Boston, was rescued by Sarah's brother-in-law Tony. Tony educated and trained Derrick to be the fine, Christian man he is now. But all Sarah can see is the hoodlum he was. Derrick adores Sarah, but spends his time tormenting her to avoid the pain of her rejection.<br>Now through a series of events, they are thrown together, what happens next makes for a wonderful story.<br><br>I love Hallee Bridgeman's stories and I hope she continues to write contemporary, Christian stories. Her stories are so real, I can hear the character's voices in my head.<br>I was given this book by the author for my honest opinion.
