Kristi Hunter's Vying for The Viscount Gets her new series Hearts On the Heath off with a bang! I love her characters and the fact that she involves them in fantastic plots that make you want more. She has the amazing habit of involving characters from past series as part of her new story. This book will definitely be joining Kristi's other books on my all-time favorites shelf! So grab a pot of English breakfast tea and enjoy Bianca and Hudson's story!

I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley.com with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

From Amazon:

For Hudson, the newly titled Viscount Stildon, moving to England from India where he was born and raised was already an arduous enough endeavor. When he learns the fate of the racing empire he inherited along with his title depends upon him getting in the good graces of another stable owner, he's even more at a loss.

The stable at the neighboring estate has been Miss Bianca Snowley's refuge for years, and when a strange man appears to be stealing the horses, she jumps to their protection without a second thought. Upon learning Hudson is actually the new owner, she can't help but be intrigued by the area's newest eligible bachelor.

Any thought of romance is quickly set aside, however, when Hudson proposes they work together to secure suitable spouses for each other. As their friendship grows, Hudson and Bianca begin to reconsider what they truly want in life. But will societal expectations and the weight of their responsibilities keep them from pursuing their true desires?

A Bride Of Convenience by Jody Hedlund

Proverbs 16:9 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps. Jody Hedlund's A Bride Of Convenience demonstrates the wisdom of these words. Zoe Hart has plans to arrive on a Bride ship and hopefully find her twin brother. Abe Merivale plans to finish his 5 years as a missionary and return to his parish in England and marry his betrothed. God has other plans for these two. I loved this story and enjoyed the plot. Jody leads these two through some amusing incidents on their journey to find God's plan. I think this is my favorite book in this series. So grab your tea and settle back for a fun read.

I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley.com with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

With mounting pressure to find the baby a home, Zoe accepts a proposal from a miner of questionable character after he promises to help her locate her brother. She Walks In Power by Mary Lu Tyndall

It is not often that a book draws me in to the point that I read it in one day...She Walks In Power did just that/ I was up well past my bedtime reading this book because I needed to know what happened. I loved the characters and the plot is fantastic but also gives a nod to Robin Hood. The story takes place during the dark ages where the reading of scripture by anyone other than a priest was heresy and some clerics were not followers of Christ. Evil existed and is portrayed as supernatural battles. I believe this book to be a wholesome alternative to the Harry Potter series which I have not, nor will I ever read. I would recommend this book for teens especially. So grab a mug of mulled cider. clear your schedule and settle in for a fantastic read!
