Seeing Jesus at Christmas has Trudy Jenson from Holding Jesus facing some changes in her life. The good news is that Jesus is still with her. I loved how this book shows all the ways that Jesus helps Trudy as she goes about life and gets ready for Christmas while helping her clients deal with their issues. I love the way Jones portrays Jesus as a loving advocate, showing how Jesus longs to be a part of our lives. I highly recommend the whole Seeing Jesus series. I love reading MaryLu Tyndall's books. If you haven't tried anything by her you are in for a treat. Her pirate books rival the most swashbuckling of tales, full of treasures and curses that end up pointing the way to God's soverign power. Ms. Tyndall does a fabulous job demonstrating how spiritual warfare is a real thing. Her characters are wonderful and the plot carries you along causing one to read long past an acceptable bedtime. I highly recommend the whole Legend Of The King's Ring series. So my suggestion is that this would make a great beach read, with the surf pounding in your ears while you sip your favorite beverage as you lie on the beach. All thoughts are my own.

Criss Cross (Holly 1) by C C Warrens

I've just finished Criss Cross by C C Warrens and wow, I'm glad she is a novelist. Her story was down right disturbing at times, but I really enjoyed reading it. Criss Cross is extremely suspenseful with Holly being actively stalked by someone from a past she can't remember. The plot is well thought out and I enjoyed the relationship between all of the characters. I look forward to reading the next book after I recover from this one. Seeking Persephone by Sarah Ladd brings a Beauty and The Beast vibe to a marriage of convenience tale. I loed the strong characters and the setting was fantastic. This is a fun book to curl up with on a long weekend with the added bonus that it is the first book of series. So brew up a pot of tea, add some scones to the tray and enjoy a good read. Even In This by Dianna Lanser

Even In This is a very good book. It is honestly not a book you enjoy per say but I did like it. Warning the subject matter can be triggering for some. I did enjoy the way the characters grew in faith Even In This, when the unimaginable happens. I appreciate the way Dianna Lanser depicted the characters having struggles but they always circle back to God and His will. She did an awesome job of handling a delicate and heartbreaking act with tact and grace. I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Lanser in the future.
