Dear Judas by James Finke

Dear Judas is not the usual type of book I read. That said, i did enjoy watching Tommy Finch's search for the meaning of life after a near death experience. I found it interesting reading the memos to Judas as directives to keep Tommy off track and try to derail Tommy's efforts to investigate the possibilty that his atheistic worldview could be wrong. Good book and one that I feel is worth reading to understand spiritual warfare. All thoughts are my own. From Amazon: From James Finke, author of the best-selling Christianity Uncomplicated series, comes his gripping debut novel, Dear Judas, where love and faith are tested in the unseen battles of spiritual warfare. From the moment Tommy Finch's heart stopped beating, his life would never be the same. A successful medical device salesman thriving in a high-pressure corporate world, Tommy had no need for God—until a near-death experience shatters his disbelief and forces him to confront a new reality. As he grapples with the complexities of life, love, and faith, he unwittingly becomes the target of dark forces determined to lead him to “their father’s house below.” But there’s one complication: Tommy is married to Elizabeth, a devout Christian whose unwavering faith becomes a nightmare for the demons scheming to undermine him. Guided by her steadfast love and confronted by skepticism from those around him, Tommy embarks on a journey of discovery that reveals the unseen manipulations at play in his life. "Dear Judas" reimagines the themes of C.S. Lewis's "The Screwtape Letters," exploring the tension between good and evil, along with thought-provoking apologetic elements, in a contemporary setting. With humor, heart, and a touch of the supernatural, this gripping tale invites readers to reflect on the nature of faith, love, and the unseen struggles that shape our lives. The Christmas Promise Gabrielle Meyer

The Christmas Promise by Gabrielle Meyer is a quick regency read. Great book for those who love enemies to more trope. It is a short book, but the story is complete. I liked the characters and the setting. Great book to read on a snowy afternoon, curled up under a blanket with a cup of tea steaming on a table beside you. All thoughts are my own. From Amazon Lady Ashleigh Arrington is hosting a Christmas house party when her childhood foe, Christopher Campbell, unexpectedly arrives from America with a mysterious marriage agreement signed by their late mothers. The only way out of the distasteful agreement is if one of them is married or engaged by Christmas Eve. But which one will sacrifice their hopes and dreams to escape marriage to each other? And when they realize a match between them isn’t quite so distasteful, will it be too late? About the author:
Gabrielle Meyer lives in central Minnesota on the banks of the upper Mississippi River with her husband and four children. Seeing Jesus (Seeing Jesus book 1) by Jeffrey McClain Jones

Seeing Jesus by Jeffrey McClain Jones was a fascinating book to read. The premise is that Philly, a man stuck in a boring life, asks his grandma to pray for him. The next day he sees a middle eastern man following him around. It is Jesus and only Philly can see and hear him. I loved the way Mr. Jones portrayed Jesus as a man of compassion and humor. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series. So grab your favorite beverage and curl up with an eye opening read. I borrowed this book through Kindle Unlimited. All thoughts are my own. From Amazon: He dreads nothing more than being alone. And being even more alone seems inevitable now. Still, he’s not the kind of guy who invents an invisible friend. So what’s happening to him? Will he ever get his old life back? Philly Thompson lives with his cat, Irving, in a one-bedroom apartment in Chicago. He worries about his weight, frets about his job, is tempted to get back with his ex-girlfriend, and wishes his ma would stop nagging him. When he meets a strangely dressed man on the bus, he stops worrying about his grandmother, who’s in the hospital, and starts questioning his own mental health. Apparently no one else can see the strange guy. Which must mean he’s not really there. Except there he is always hanging around, all day long. And for days in a row. When Philly stumbles into this extraordinary experience, he has little faith of his own. Religion is okay for his grandma. But not for him. And this visit from the guy claiming to be Jesus seems to go beyond what his grandma has told him about her faith. Who will believe him if he tells what he is seeing and hearing? If he tells, will Philly be rejected yet again? Will his family and friends just decide he’s crazier than they imagined? Or will the people around him let Philly’s experience lift them out of their suffering and light their lives with hope? This is the first book in the Seeing Jesus series, originally written as a stand-alone novel. Reader responses inspired turning this story into an ongoing series. About the author:
Jeffrey McClain Jones, known by his friends (and some enemies) as Jeff, is a bestselling Amazon author of over 30 books, specializing in supernatural Christian fiction. He grew up in a Baptist church, went to a Christian High School and graduated from Houghton College, in Houghton, NY (1984). As an undergraduate he majored in both writing and Bible (not writing the Bible). He took graduate degrees in theology and ethics at Wheaton College Graduate School and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Finishing with a Ph.D. from Northwestern University. Born in Denver, CO, he was raised in Lincoln, NE and has lived most of his adult life in the suburbs of Chicago. He loves movies and can recite his top ten list given the slightest provocation. Walking along the river path near his house and reading on the deck next to the pond both give him joy and negative ions (look it up). He writes all his books where he can see the bird feeder on the back deck. Don’t get him started about the latest species he saw out there. His passion is to write about Jesus as a living person who impacts the modern world, working through the imaginations and the hands and feet of his people. He believes God is supernatural and that the followers of Jesus are too.

Through Each Tomorrow book 6 by Gabrielle Meyer

Gabrielle Meyer continues to hone her writing skills with this the 6th book in her Timeless series. Origionally conceived as a three book series it is now projected to be at least nine and counting! Each book gets better and I love the way she weaves the stories of two timelines together with one character traveling back and forth daily between two lives.Through Each tomorrow expands on the story by having multiple time-crossers. I loved following the twists and turns of the plot, trying to guess how the book would end. When I finished the book I immediately pre-ordered book 7, Into The Goden Era releasing May 5th of 2026. I highly recommend this series as one of the most unique time travel novel series out there. So brew up your favorite beverage, find cozy chair and a snuggly blanket and settle if a fantastic read.
