Seeking His Love by Carrie Turansky

Seeking His Love is a sweet contemporary novel with just a hint of suspense. I enjoyed meeting Rachel Clark and Cam McKenna. Ms. Turansky did a fantastic job creating believable characters in a realistic plot.I also enjoyed watching Cam and Rachel grow throughout the story. Since this story is set in the north west, I will forgo my usual tea and suggest a mug of coffee while you relax with a good read.

I found this book to be edge of my seat, no sleep exciting. The characters are strong and quite believable and the situations they get themselves into are fascinating. My only problem with this book is that I will have to wait a year to find out what happens next. So grab a mug of chai and settle in for a fantastic read!

The Warrior Maiden by Melanie Dickerson

Melanie Dickerson has done it again! The Warrior Maiden is Ms. Dickerson's retelling of Mulan. I love the way that she is retelling fairy tales into believable medieval tales. Although these are classed as Young Adult, I think people of all ages would enjoy the stories. The plot is strong and the characters are engaging. Ms. Dickerson uses witty dialogue to advance the story. I did not expect it, but I believe The Warrior Maiden to be my favorite of The Hagenheim Tales.

So grab a big old mug of mulled cider and settle in for a great read!
