The Ringmaster's Wife by Kristy Cambron

Kristy Cambron writes powerful historical fiction. I loved her newest novel, The Ringmaster's Wife. I had never read anything on the Ringling Brothers Circus and was drawn into the life of a circus performer and I totally fascinated by the story of John and Mable Ringling. A second storyline with the fictional Colin Keary and Rosemunde Easling was written with care and attention to detail. I will be adding this book to my keeper shelf! I was given this book by netgalley.com, but all opinions are my own.

The Reluctant Duchess

The Reluctant Duchess is the second novel in Roseanna White's Ladies Of the Manor Trilogy. We first met Brice, the Duke of Nottingham in The Lost Heiress, book one. He now has possession of the Tiger eyes, a perfect pair of red diamonds. On a trip to his lands in Scotland he is maneuvered into marrying Rowena a Cheiftan's daughter. Rowena is a broken woman who was recently attacked by a young Lord who only wants her title.
The Reluctant Duchess is a tale of love and betrayal. I loved how Rowena is changed by the love of a good man. It shows how only G-d's love is perfect, and that we need to listen to that still, small voice. The plot moves along quickly and I really did not want to put it down. It was lovely visiting with Brook and Stafford once again. Anyone who loves Upstairs Downstairs or Downton Abbey will adore The Ladies of the Manor series.

The Beautiful Pretender by Melanie Dickerson

The Beautiful Pretender by Melanie Dickerson is loosely based on Beauty and the Beast. It is book two in the Medieval Fairy tale series. A servant girl is sent in place of the Earl's daughter to a gathering of young ladies. Her orders are to secure the favor of Lrd Thornbeck, but do not let him fall in love with her. Avelina however must answer to G-d not man and G-d has different plans for Avelina.
This book is well written and the setting is quite vivid. I loved Avelina and Reinholt. It was also great to visit with Odette and Jorgen once again. Melanie Dickerson proves once again that you are never too old for Fairy tales!

Sins Of The Past by Dee Henderson, Danny Pettrey and Lynette Eason

Sins Of The Past is a totally enjoyable set of short stories by Three of my favorite go-to authors. I usually prefer to read full length novels, but these storylines are well developed and complete stories. The characters are well developed and although these stories are complete, I wouldn't mind seeing them in future books.

POW A Definitive History Of The American POW in Vietnam by John Hubbell

Redeeming Character is number five in the Redemption series by George McVey. I wasn't sure this story would measure up as the Preacher has been run out of the pulpit and town by his Father, The Reverend David Ryder. I was pleasantly surprised, the story was every bit as good and I can highly recommend Redeeming Character.
I was given this book by the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
