A Lady of Esteem by Kristi Ann Hunter
For being a novella, A Lady of Esteem packs one heck of a story into those few pages. I loved the story and the characters. I usually do not like novellas, but this one is definitely a keeper. If you love Regency, you will love Kristi Ann Hunter;s books. So grab an iced tea and settle in for a good read!

Hold Me Close by Margeurite Gray a review
Hold Me Close was slow to engage me, but once I got into the book I loved it. It is primarily the story of an unattached young Frenchman who moves to Charles Town SC during the days leading up to the Revolutionary War. He is firm in his intentions to remain neutral but finds that everyone must determine for himself what is right.
This book has something for everyone, romance, and intrigue as you try to determine who can be trusted. The characters are well developed and I found myself trying to recall my high-school French in order to follow a few of the conversations. I loved the descriptions of the houses and menus. The only downside for me is waiting for the next book to come out as this one ends in a cliffhanger.
I was given this book by the author in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Bride Of A Distant Isle by Sandra Byrd
Mystery and suspense mixed with romance on the Coast of England. Illegitimate and dependent on her cousin's good graces, Annabel Ashton awaits her fate in her cousin's house. She is further ostracized by her mixed heritage. She only has a home as long as she is useful to Edward, her cousin.
I really enjoyed Bride of a Distant Isle, the plot was very engaging and the characters were quite realistic. I enjoyed the historical aspects of the book and Sandra's love of historical Eland was quite evident throughout the book. I hope there will be another book in the Daughters of Hampshire series.
I was given this book by the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

An Elegant Façade by Kristi Ann Hunter
An Elegant Façade is the sequel to A Noble Masquerade and It is even better in my opinion. The first few chapters retell A Noble Masquerade from Lady Georgina's point of view, I have to admit that at first I did not care for Lady Georgina, but she quickly grew on me. I loved the storyline and the characters feel like old friends. I already miss them. This book contains romance as it takes place during the London social season and Lady Georgina is husband hunting, but she also carries a secret that she would rather die than reveal.
I was given this book by netgalley.com in exchange for my honest opinion.
